Our Link Checker Daemon

If you have found your way to this web site you may have been sent here by a software program written by us. We maintain a collection of bookmarks from the World Wide Web. A Perl script periodically checks URLs from this database and verifies them. It checks for 4xx status codes and deletes invalid links from the records. The script uses the string "luchs.at URL checker" in its user agent HTTP header. The script is similar to a web spider, but it doesn't follow any links found in downloaded content. The period between two checks is 30 days. If you want us to delete a link from our bookmark collection please send a "404 Object not found" error code back. You can also send us an email.
