GnuPG Key Update

While there has been a lot of discussion about GnuPG / PGP, we use it for email communication. Messengers still cannot replace email, and email remains the last vendor-independent communication protocol. So in case you also use email encryption in this way, please note the there is an update to some of our keys. You can download the most recent public keys from the web site. The link can be found at the bottom of this article or on the contact section of the web page.

It is good practice to refresh public keys from time to time. Given the attacks on GPG/PGP keyservers you have to be careful. The SKS keyservers have been attacked in July last year. Attackers have uploaded certificates to specific keys in order to make them unusable. The safest way to update public keys is to use the updates public key from your communication partners. This lacks a centralised server infrastructure, but you can add your public key to normal conversation and have your communication partners update their key rings.
