The period before Christmas and up to the first week of the new year is traditionally a time for rest and infrastructure maintenance. With new software versions and replaced hardware, we therefore wish you a good year 2025!

In terms of technology, we have further developed our infrastructure with a focus on decentralisation and green IT. Decentralised systems have been very important to us since 1999 so that we are not dependent on external companies or individuals. Saving energy has always been a focus. Modern hardware makes this possible because it is not just performance that increases. The rise in energy prices has vindicated these investments. Saving energy also means less waste heat. In times of climate change and high temperatures in summer, less cooling is also a benefit. Contact us if you would also like to save money and energy.

Saving energy also means not using crypto currencies or text generators in the form of ‘artificial intelligence’. We do not use crypto currencies. We also actively avoid generative AI systems because their results bear no relation to the energy used. These systems are bloated autocorrect algorithms that don't think. There are alternatives that are based on less learning data and are much more targeted. We are also happy to share our experience in this area.
